July 8th – 11th 2025

We like a good deal on this site, and Amazon Prime Day Deals can offer Prime Members a great price on certain products; so this time around we want to be ready for it! So we are dedicating this blog to the best Prime Day camping deals.
On the days (which are the 8th-11th of July) we’ll upload some of the best deals on camping gear, but as they aren’t announced until the first day of the event, we are going to cover what this is all about, how you become eligible for the deals and what Amazon Prime Day deals you might expect to see. Let’s get straight into it.
Deals
Vango Apollo 500
If you’re after a spacious, no-fuss, waterproof tent for your next family adventure – this one’s a winner. We’ve used it, reviewed it, and genuinely rate it. Would also be great for festivals.
Right now it’s on a great Prime Day deal, which makes it even better value.

What is ‘Amazon Prime Day’?
‘Amazon Prime Day’ is a, pretty major, retail event on Amazon, in which they offer discounts on many products throughout their website. These offers can be on major brands, small businesses and on any kind of product.
It’s basically a way to draw loads more customers onto the site, dangling the carrot of incredible offers. It is also a way to encourage people to sign up to Amazon Prime… You see, all of these deals are only available to Amazon Prime members (more on that later), so it’s also a way to encourage people to sign up for that.
It’s common practice amongst Prime Members to hold off making a purchase, if there is an event like the Prime Day on the horizon – just on the off-chance that the product they had their eye on will dramatically drop in price for a couple of days. It doesn’t always work out, of course, not every product gets reduced, but if it does, the savings can be significant.
Obviously, for the purposes of this site, we’re mainly interested in the camping equipment that we can get for a bargain to take on our next camping trip! Outdoor gear in generally often gets reduced, which suddenly turns a ‘hmm should !?’ into a ‘lets do it!’.
We can’t forget the wise words of Martin Lewis, though – it’s only a good deal if it’s a product you really want and you can afford it. The best hiking boots with trekking poles at 20% off are only worth it if you actually plan to go hiking!
How do you become an Amazon Prime Member?
So, for those that don’t know, it’s pretty easy to become an Amazon Prime Member, but it comes at a relatively small monthly cost of £8.99. We’ll cover what you get for that price in the next section.
If you’re not sure whether you would get the most out of Amazon Prime, you can sign up for a free trial for 30 days here – you get all of the perks (including being able to take part in the Prime Big Deal Days), and if you don’t think it is worth the money, you can cancel the subscription before you pay a penny.
What are the perks of signing up to Amazon Prime?
Amazon Prime is a subscription service with a difference… Whereas with Spotify you get unlimited music, and with Netflix you get access to a huge catalogue of TV shows and film, and with various TV packages you get exclusive live sports coverage – Amazon Prime Members get all of this.
Plus, they get free next day delivery on eligible orders from Amazon, which in our experience is the vast majority of orders. For many people, like my wife, this is the biggest perk of them all. Shopping online is made so much easier with an Amazon Prime subscription.
Personally, I’ve been enjoying the Champions League coverage, while our kids get a lot out of the seemingly endless number of films that they can watch.
It won’t be value for money for everyone, of course. If you don’t tend to buy much online, or if you don’t watch much TV or listen to music, then there are better ways to spend £8.99 a month. I would imagine, though, that for the majority of people, there is enough there to offer value for money.
When is the next ‘Amazon Prime Day’?
The next ‘Amazon Prime Day’ is right around the corner, starting on the 8th July. It’s a four day event, so finishes on the 11th of July – not exactly a huge window of opportunity, so you need to be quick off the mark! (We have heard of people staying up until midnight to get the first picks of the bargains!)
They tend to do a few of these a year, so it’s always worth checking out when the next Prime Day is if you are planning to buy something big.
What products will feature on Amazon Prime Day Deals?
Well, here is the issue (or part of the excitement, depending on how you look at it!) – we don’t know which products will get reduced on an Amazon Prime Day until it happens – Prime Day sales just pop up without warning, which is why it’s advisable to be fully signed up and ready to go on the day!
As these events feature top brands as well as smaller, independent companies, whatever you are thinking of buying, it’s worth checking on the day.
Will there be Amazon Prime Day Deals on camping gear?
We certainly hope so! In previous Prime Day events, we’ve managed to pick up some excellent bargains on camping products – everything from a compact sleeping bag, to a two person tent, to top-of-the-range camping lanterns.
The offers of tents have been good in the past, and if you’re planning an outdoor adventure in the next 6 months or so, this could be a great opportunity to get a significant discount on something big like that. However, the deals cover so many bases (and are seemingly quite random!), so be prepared to spend a bit of time getting the best deals on lots of different equipment – check out our guides and reviews if you are looking for inspiration.
Whether you’re looking for equipment on a backpacking trip alone, or you’re shopping for a huge family adventure in the great outdoors, Amazon Prime Days could help save you a decent amount of money – so check it out.
